02 / THE ESSENTIALS
03 / WHY ORANGE
At 55 cN, MX2A Orange sits between the lighter MX2A Red and heavier MX2A Black.
Orange provides noticeably more spring resistance than Red without reaching the heavier weighting of Black.
Its 2.0 mm actuation point and 4.0 mm total travel retain the familiar full-height mechanical switch travel profile.
04 / THE KEYSTROKE
MX2A Orange actuates at 55 cN, placing it between the lighter MX2A Red and heavier MX2A Black.
Choose Orange if Red feels too light but Black feels heavier than you want.

11 / IN DETAIL
MX2A Orange actuates after 2.0 mm of downward travel, keeping the trigger point within the traditional full-height MX range.
MX2A Orange uses 4.0 mm total travel and retains a traditional full-height linear keystroke.
MX2A Orange has no intentional click mechanism, but it is not a silent switch.
Heavier Than Red. MX2A Orange actuates at 55 cN, compared with 45 cN on MX2A Red. Users who strongly prefer light switches may find Orange noticeably firmer.
Not Silent. There is no intentional click mechanism, but Orange does not use silent damping. Bottom-out and return can still produce mechanical noise depending on the keyboard build.
5-Pin Compatibility. The confirmed KeebPilot MX2A-LC3W version uses a 5-pin footprint. Check PCB compatibility before ordering.
