KeebPilot Editorial & Product Research Policy
KeebPilot is an independent mechanical keyboard retailer and product research platform. This page explains how we prepare product specifications, buying guidance, comparisons and editorial content.
How We Verify Product Information
We prioritize official manufacturer documentation and official product materials when they are available. We may also use supplier documentation, established retailer listings and other relevant product references to fill gaps or cross-check details.
When sources conflict, we do not silently choose the most convenient number. We compare the available evidence, keep the conflict visible in our internal review process, and leave a field unconfirmed when the evidence is not strong enough.
Specifications vs. Editorial Interpretation
Product specifications and editorial interpretation are treated separately. Dimensions, force, travel, materials, compatibility and similar factual fields should be tied to product-source evidence. Feel, sound and buying guidance may include editorial interpretation, but they are not presented as controlled KeebPilot measurements unless we actually performed that testing.
Hands-On Testing and Media
Not every product listed on KeebPilot has been physically tested by our team. When KeebPilot performs a hands-on test, sound test, measurement or other original evaluation, the page should identify that clearly. Videos and sound samples are setup-specific references: the final result can change with the keyboard case, plate, mounting system, keycaps and desk setup.
Source Priority
- Primary: official manufacturer specifications and documentation.
- Secondary: supplier documentation and established retailer product references.
- Supporting: independent tests, community references and product media when they help explain real-world use.
Secondary or supporting sources do not automatically override official data. Their role is to clarify, cross-check or document areas that official specifications do not fully cover.
Updates and Corrections
Product revisions, regional naming and supplier information can change. We update product pages when better evidence becomes available or when a meaningful product revision is confirmed. If a field cannot be verified reliably, we prefer to label it unconfirmed rather than invent a specification.

Commercial Listings and Editorial Decisions
Some products are sold directly by KeebPilot, while others may appear as reference, comparison or availability listings. Commercial availability does not change how specifications should be sourced or how uncertainty should be labeled.
Samples and Commercial Relationships
When a product is supplied as a sample, loaned for evaluation, sponsored, or linked through a paid commercial relationship, that relationship should be disclosed alongside the relevant content. Receiving a sample or selling a product does not establish that it has been independently tested, and does not override source verification or the correction of errors.
